There’s more to running payroll than just preparing pay slips. Here’s a list of the more important tasks:
- Calculate pay as per award or agreement
- Calculate leave balances (print on pay slips)
- Calculate super and tax
- Prepare and distribute detailed pdf or printed pay slips
- Set up any new employees. Collect TFN Declaration forms and lodge with the ATO
- Prepare an EFT file for transfer/upload to your bank
- Pay superannuation contributions to the various funds as required
- Submit superannuation returns to funds (setting up new super fund members and reporting details about contributions)
- Prepare and distribute end of year PAYG Payment Summaries
